Modern communication has been strongly prevalent than ever before. As the emergence of social
network sites and mobile ph bingle revolution, current communication has brought a huge wave of
benefits to meet peoples demand. In the article Communication Breakdown, published in the

communication itself leads to countless negative effects. This essay will critically response to the
authors idea.
In general, the author provides two primary problems of modern communication. Firstly, the author
elaborates that due to the appearance of social network sites e.g Facebook or Twitter, slang and

infinitely exchanged. Furtherto a greater extent, Wright warns that peoples verbal and social skills will be

social media, people today can access to huge range of symbols and icons, which can be added to their
messages so as to make it more lively and more beautiful. Moreover, thanks to Facebook and other
social websites, customers can provide mesmerism or showing their appreciation about products via the
companys Facebook account. The author is unilateral when just giving ideas on the disadvantages of
modern communication. The benefits that it brings to society are more than just the disadvantages.
