This type of movie typic totallyy isnt my cup of tea, besides overall i enjoyed it. I tend to pass judgment and be a cheery soul overall, but with all the sadness, and strife in this movie, its hard to remain upbeat. There argon whatsoever moments that show the complexity of the benevolent spirit. For example, when the Joads buy a 15 cent loaf for 10 cents, and buy the penny candies, that are actually 10 cents. Another clock was when the agriculture group let them through when Grandma was sick. It shows that even in multiplication of crisis, not all people become hardened towards human emotion. Ma Joad says the last line in the movie and it says it all, mystifying fellas come up an they die, an their kids aint no good an they die out. hardly we keep acomin. Were the people that live. They cant wipe us out; they cant biff us. Well go on forever, Pa, cause were the people. People who eatnt struggled before are more apt to fail when they have to live below their usual means, and those who have struggled, in the past, to string even the most basic ends meet. She is saying that though she has struggled and her life isnt what she believed it should be, or what she valued it to be, she loves who she is and she is proud of rising above her hard times. She is proud of the person she became through her strife. I judge thats something that we all have to try and do. We arent all going to struggle nearly as badly as they did in this book and movie, and we arent all going to go hungry. We can try and make certainly that we are proud of the person we became, and try to lend a hand to others who are less fortunate than us, just similar you can see in this movie. One of the last time we hear Tom Joad speak he says, A friend aint got a soul of his own, just little piece of a big soul, the one big soul that belongs to everybody.
