So…I must admit the movies arent terrible. A bit better than expected, but still slightly bad. So… slightly things I very didnt the likes of to the highest degree the first movie. Why the hell do lamias sparkle? I mean come on? Sparkle in the sun. When I first heard that joke on Leno/Conan/ALL opposite LATE NIGHT TALK SHOWS I didnt re altogethery believe that they made vampires sparkle. It just seems so feminine. It also seems uncommon that the vampires can be out even when its cloudy. Come on…even on a cloudy day, you can vanquish a worse sun burn than on a sunny day. I also didnt like the vampires and their flying. Since Im in the entertainment industry, I can blot how things like that were done, and in reality they used a device thats used in all of Jackie Chans kung fu movies, and it looked like it. It just didnt fit with what you expect a vampire to be.
So a quick summary…
Bella is moving in with her dad up in Washington. Her parents separated when she was younger and her mom is living in Arizona. So when she gets to Washington we see her re-meeting some friends and re-visiting some places she used to go with her father. Shes a younger in high school and is thus the talk of the townsfolk when she meets her new classmates….since they dont get new hoi polloi in much.
She is immediately friends with Eric, Mike, Jessica and Angela. They seem like a pretty tight knit group of friends. Bella immediately befriends them. They tell Bella all about the Cullens and how they seems to be paired off…except for Edward. Jessica and Angela rather have a crush on him, but no one ever really acted in it.
Bella ends up school term next to Edward in science class, but he ends up leaving before she can introduce himself. He shows prat up a couple days later and she befriends him. He ends up saving her life from being hit by a car. Bella wants to hear from Edward about why he salvage her and all this BS. He basically refuses.
