Love and Doubt (Rough Draft)
She has had been marry to two men and she wasnt able to bump heat in either unrivaled of them, but she then met him. Janie has been dating a younger man called tea cover for a era and she is in make do. Tea Cake does care approximately her, but Janie is having doubt. This novel (Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston) is about and African American woman that is trying to find love. The passage being used happened when Janie and Tea Cake conduct started dating. Zora Neal Hurston uses literary devices such as imagery, personification, and similes to show the emotions of Janie and Tea Cake.
A good air of showing someones feelings is by using imagery. When Tea Cake went away for a while Janie felt lonely and started to lose hope. She plunged into the abyss and descended to the ninth iniquity where light has never been (Hurston 107). This part of the passage casts a pathetic lonely place that Janie has gone to. Janie was thinking that Tea Cake wasnt going to comeback because he didnt love her. The thought of him not returning made Janie feel depressed. proficient alike(p) imagery, personification can be used to describe what someone feels.
Personification is also a good way of showing someones thoughts and feelings towards someone. In the cool of the afternoon the fiend from hell specially sent to lovers arrived at Janies ear. Doubt (Hurston 107) Janie is starting to have doubt about her human relationship with Tea Cake because it seems that its too good to be true. A young man that went out with many women his age, and is like a shot with someone who is much older than him sounded very odd to her. Although Janie has doubt, Tea cake thinks other wise.
With the similes being used in this passage, Zora Neal Hurston shows one of the sides of Tea Cake. Tea cake is a loving and pleasant person that will do anything to see Janie smile.
