On or about the above date and time, I officer M. Arredondo #221 was assign to Fresno County, important Jail third plunge, as a floor officer. At that time, Security incumbent L. Perez called me on the radio and asked me to separate on the inmate in cell D-7.
While playing my regularly assignments as a floor officer, Security Officer L. Perez called me on the radio and asked me to check on the inmate in cell D-7. I immediately went to cell D-7 in Main Jail third floor. I observed Inmate Alexander Cruz, JID #212569, BKG #12003265 sitting on the lower bunk. I walked into the cell. He appeared to fork over multiple contusions and was bleeding from cuts on his face, head and torso. I called Officer Perez on the radio and notified her of the situation. I then requested surplus officers. I asked Inmate Cruz what had happened but he didnt guess a word. At approximately 1546 hours Officers D. Torres #254 and J.
James #587 arrived to MJ03 floor, cell D-7. I instructed them to take Cruz into the infirmary. Classification was notified.
At approximately 1558 hours Infirmary R. baker informed Officer Perez via telephone that Cruz had nine stitches on his head, phoebe bird stitches on his left eyebrow. Classification Officer H. Herrera notified Officer Perez that Inmate Cruz didnt say anything of what had happened to him. Officer Herrera took care of Inmate Cruz admit transfer.
